Our mission at ZetaChain is to remove the complications of blockchain and enable great products for users across any chain. Keeping in line with that goal, we recently held a hackathon with a difference: it was entirely online.
In partnership with DoraHacks and the global hackathon community, this online hackathon complemented our in-person hackathons by removing all barriers to entry to enable any developer, based anywhere in the world, to build cross-chain apps and services using the ZetaChain platform.
The response was phenomenal with 100 completed submissions from over 500 hackers competing hard for the $30,000 prize pool.

ZetaChain Developer Experience
Andreas Kobal, CTO of ZetaChain Omniverse
“Participating in the ZetaChain Omniverse hackathon was an amazing experience for our team. We were fascinated by the seamless way we could create and transfer 3D avatars across different blockchains using ZetaChain’s technology. It showed us the incredible potential of blockchain in gaming and how it can revolutionize the way we interact with in-game assets. We’re thrilled to be part of this innovation and can’t wait to see its impact on the gaming community.”
Denis Fadeev, Head of Developer Experience at ZetaChain
“Engagement at the DoraHacks hackathon was impressive, with developers not only showing up in numbers, but also demonstrating a deep commitment to their craft. It was a flurry of coding, debugging, and iterative development that resulted in innovative omnichain dApp projects. The hackathon served as an effective platform for collaboration and practical learning, with developers working through complex problems in real-time.”
