ZETA is the native asset of ZetaChain — a Proof-of-Stake blockchain built for Universal Interoperability. Every transaction, validator reward, governance vote, and cross-chain interaction within the ZetaChain ecosystem is powered by ZETA.
ZETA enables developers and users to seamlessly move value, deploy cross-chain apps, and interact across any connected chain — including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and beyond.
Gas Transactions
ZETA is used as gas for executing transactions on ZetaChain’s EVM and cross-chain smart contracts. This includes cross-chain messaging and bundled gas payments that cover outbound transactions to connected chains.
Staking and Network Security
Validators stake ZETA to secure the network, and delegators can participate by staking to validators. Rewards and penalties (slashing) maintain security and decentralization.
