Today, we’re excited to welcome zk-credential network zkMe into ZetaChain’s launch partner ecosystem, which will enable Omnichain Soulbound Tokens (Omni SBTs).

The First Ever Omnichain Soulbound Tokens

zkMe’s Omni SBTs represent non-fungible, non-transferable, verified user credentials (without disclosing any private data via the use of zkSNARK ZKPs). To date, soulbound tokens could only be used to prove eligibility criteria for dApps on a particular chain. Now, ZetaChain’s universal interoperability significantly broadens the applicability and reach of SBT technology to any chain. zkMe will anchor the user’s Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) to ZetaChain where he can manage his entire on-chain Identity across all chain ecosystems — editing permissions by the dApp and credential level — from just one ZetaChain wallet.

What’s Next?

Currently, the following two use cases are live on testnet:

1. Anti-Sybil protection through Proof-of-Personhood (PoP) to weed out bot and sybil wallets.

2. FATF-compliant customer due diligence (zkKYC) to fulfill legal KYC/AML requirements.
