We are excited to announce the launch of ZetaChain’s upcoming incentivized testnet dubbed “Athens-3”. This is a huge step in the development of ZetaChain, an L1 blockchain that brings universal interoperability to crypto through its support for Omnichain Smart Contracts.

For this testnet, we’re initially looking for participants with 1.) a strong understanding of running and managing nodes/validators for Cosmos SDK-based chains and/or 2.) developers and technical testers with experience deploying EVM-compatible smart contracts and battle-testing protocols like ZetaChain.

Phases for this testnet includes the following:

• Phase 1: Validator setup and network genesis.

• Phase 2: Stress and scenario testing.

• Phase 3: Security-focused battle-testing.

• Phase 4: Maintenance and long-term testnet planning.

We will reward approved and eligible participants who actively contribute to this testnet. More details on the program’s phases, goals, incentives, and precise timeline will be released as the testnet progresses.
