January 2024: The Arrival of ZetaChain Mainnet Beta!

Check out this blog post in español简体中文繁體中文日本語हिंदी한국어tiếng-việtdeutschportuguêsfrançaisрусскийукраїнськаpersiantürkçeindonesian, and filipino (non-English translations are created by the community, not ZetaChain).

January 2024 was the most significant period in our nearly-three year history with the launch of ZetaChain Mainnet Beta. Mainnet (initially in beta) is the next step in our mission to serve as a platform for universal access, simplicity, and utility across any blockchain. Solving the fragmentation problem in crypto is critical to enabling Web3 apps to work for the next hundreds of million of users who are still blocked by complexities, risk, and lack of accessibility.

ZetaChain Mainnet Beta is here!

ZetaChain Mainnet Beta is a fully functional network that connects Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and more chains in due course. Developers can deploy Omnichain Smart Contracts on ZetaChain’s EVM that use the ZRC-20 primitive to connect and orchestrate value and data across all connected chains — without wrapping or locking tokens. Visit ZetaDocs to learn more about omnichain development, token utility, governance, proposed roadmap features, and much more.

Growing ZetaChain Slowly

In the surge of media and press coverage on ZetaChain’s launch was a notable piece by The Block. The article details how ZetaChain aims to grow the network slowly and securely with a focus on long-term sustainability. Visit the article here to learn more.

The launch of ZetaHub

Alongside Mainnet, we launched ZetaHub as a comprehensive entry point for users to participate in the ZetaChain ecosystem. ZetaHub includes features like governance, proof of stake, and access to the growing dApp ecosystem. There, users can track their on-chain activity using a system called ZetaChain XP.

Already, we have seen strong adoption after the first week, including:

  • More than 4 billion requests to public RPC providers. We continue to work with providers to scale support for the very high volume of traffic.

  • Over 900,000+ users registered on ZetaHub.

  • More than 200,000+ native cross-chain transactions completed.

  • Over 8+ million zEVM transactions processed.

  • 94% of 31.5M ZETA claimed by eligible testnet users.

These numbers build on the 1.8 million community members and more than 200 ecosystem partners that grew out of our testnet phase.
