Today, we’re excited to provide additional rewards to testnet users, and announce the first open Bitcoin claim campaign! The launch comes before a series of major ecosystem updates in anticipation for the 2024 Bitcoin Halving.

Unlocking Bitcoin in DeFi

Bitcoin is a core pillar of the crypto ecosystem, but largely disconnected from DeFi. ZetaChain unlocks the first Bitcoin Smart Contracts and introduces a new standard called ZRC-20 that lets dApps control native Bitcoin along with assets and data from other chains as if it were all on a single chain. With the omnichain blockchain ZetaChain, users can directly interact with Bitcoin apps from their Bitcoin wallet or from any other chain they desire.

The BTC Halving Claim Countdown!

As part of the BTC Halving, we’re excited to offer reward pools to prepare users and promote usage for a new generation of Bitcoin apps coming out on ZetaChain.

Quest campaigns like this are focused on particular initiatives such as social, ecosystem learning, wallet partnerships, Etc., and are designed to supplement the foundational XP program, powered by ZetaHub.

Phase 1 ZETA bonus rewards are live

Following the 31,500,000 ZETA ZetaChain Mainnet Beta airdrop to testnet users, we’re providing an additional bonus share of 120,000 ZETA to the first qualified 21,000 users from Mission Bring ZETA Home — first-come, first-served.

Eligible users include those that hold a ZETA Supporter badge, any one of four ZetaLabs swap badges, and any one of two ZETA Assimilated quiz badges! Phase 2 BTC Halving NFT launch

The BTC Halving Claim Campaign starts today April 1st at 1am UTC, and runs through the whole month of April. All eligible users from phase 1 are automatically whitelisted. The broader crypto community is invited to complete these quests to qualify for the NFT mint:
