TL;DR The Graph now supports ZetaChain in Subgraph Studio, making it easier to build Universal Apps that natively span Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and more! Get started building with The Graph!

At ZetaChain, our mission is to build a Universal Blockchain with native access to any blockchain, making crypto as accessible, diverse, and connected as the internet. To achieve this, we collaborate with more than 125 best-in-class infrastructure providers to enhance the developer experience on the first Universal Blockchain.

Today, we’re excited to announce that ZetaChain is now supported in The Graph’s Subgraph Studio! This integration simplifies the process of building Universal Apps — allowing developers to easily query, store, and retrieve blockchain data across multiple networks.

Why this matters for Universal App builders

From Uniswap to Aave, The Graph powers some of the most widely used Web3 applications. With thousands of developers relying on The Graph to index and query blockchain data, this partnership introduces a new tool for building scalable, cross-chain Universal Apps on ZetaChain.

💡What’s a Universal App? A Universal App is a smart contract on ZetaChain’s EVM that is natively connected to any other blockchains (Bitcoin, EVM, non-EVM, heterogeneous L2s, Etc.). Learn more about our recent Solana integration.

With The Graph’s Subgraphs, ZetaChain developers can now:

  • Query blockchain data efficiently: Leverage The Graph’s indexing protocol to fetch real-time and historical data from ZetaChain and over 90 other blockchains.

  • Build Universal Apps: Easily retrieve and display data from multiple chains, including native BTC, all within a single dApp.

  • Enhance performance and scalability: Offload indexing workloads to The Graph, enabling faster and more efficient data retrieval.

A Universal future powered by ZetaChain + The Graph

ZetaChain is the first public L1 blockchain that enables Universal interoperability, allowing developers to build seamless cross-chain applications including even the Bitcoin network. The Graph’s integration enhances this vision by providing top-tier indexing infrastructure — empowering developers to build faster, more efficient Universal Apps. Together, we look forward to expanding Web3 access and innovation of Universal Apps that span all blockchains.

About The Graph

The Graph is the source of data and information for the decentralized internet. As the original decentralized data marketplace that introduced and standardized subgraphs, The Graph has become web3’s method of indexing and accessing blockchain data. Since its launch in 2018, tens of thousands of developers have built subgraphs for dapps across 90+ blockchains — including Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Polygon, Celo, Fantom, Gnosis, and Avalanche.
